Seattle Solid Gold are an 11pc cover band styled after the modern swing of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy with deeper roots in Chicago, Santana, BS&T and other vintage horn bands. We play a fusion of modern swing, blues, jazz, classic rock and vintage ‘top-40’ covers.
Our ‘Solid Gold’ repertoire includes the high energy retro-swing dance music of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Brian Setzer, modern arrangements of classic swing tunes by Michael Bublé and Natalie Cole, power hits by Chicago, Santana and Earth Wind & Fire, and timeless ‘Top40’ covers by Whitney Houston, Alicia Keyes, Queen Latifah and Mariah Carey.
At just over half the size of a typical 20pc big band, we are able to work with smaller venues, even backyard parties, and our music is comes with a modern-retro twist. It is simply impossible to sit still when we play!
